Thanks Trevor.  For the sharp lines I use a #4 script liner, might also be known as a rigger, and very thin watery paint.  I use acrylics and use plain old tap water.

Larry, hope your neighbour agrees and that it will be calm enough to do a little sketching.
Glad you liked my painting of Focus, ( Finding out Christ under sail), owned by a member of our church. He regularly sailed over to Scotland with 7 or 8 members as crew for a week or so exploring the waters there.
Your paintings are really good, choppy sea is not easy. How did you do the fine lines of the rigging and sail panels?

Trevor, that's a great story.  I'll have to see if our neighbor will take will take my wife and I on his sailboat sometime.

Larry,
Like all of your boats, windy and wet, but there are easier ways to wash your feet!
Have tried to draw yachts while sailing on choppy seas, and found it difficult. The yacht I was on kept bouncing around and so did the one I was trying to draw as did the horizon. The result was the horizon was never horizontal. Perhaps an idea to try next time?

Thanks Silvana.  I don't think I would want to be out in the ocean in that small of a boat either.
