#9 of 365 Paintings in 365 Days

This is a still life set up in my studio in a shadow box that I made from a cardboard box; painted from life.

Learning Points:
I used only one brush for this painting. A #10 Robert Simmons Watercolor Round. I am working on loosing up and gaining better confidence with brushes, instead of using a little bitty brush and holding it like a pencil (with my face inches from the canvas) for details; I am using a larger brush and standing away from the canvas.
#2 Flooding color around my area of interest to make it stand out more
#3 Having a balance of soft and hard edges
#4 This is the first time I have painted "crumpled" tissue paper...it was interesting; so a leaning point for sure

Am I only suppose to pick one "learning point"...?

What a wonderful way to start my day...to see you 2 here with wonderful compliments!  Thank you!

oops, I will have to work on painting paper some more if it looks like foil...I will do another one today with some type of paper in it....actually I have done a painting with some flat pieces of colored paper...and my origmi bird...forgot about that...but nothing like this with white paper that is crumpled...so I should have said "crumpled paper"...this was tissue paper..so I need to find a way to show its "thin-ness"

I stole Michaels "bravo" It is a great word for extremely "like" and I use all the other words often. I think I need to buy a Thesaurus if they still sell them :D

Flooding color is great and gives energy to the painting, I thought the paper was foil it is so lovely and reflective of the color around it. Bravo for the big brush challenge ! It works !

Bravo Pandalana!!  great work here.  Nope, the more learning points, the better, I would say.
