Hi Richard, thank you for commenting.  It was painted from a photo I took back in February whilst visiting the delectable Venice!  I'm so happy you think it's like Monet's Cathedral's as I used his Rouen Cathedral painting for inspiration! :-}}}

The short monochromatic strokes of varied values reminds me of monet when he would try to capture a certain mood. This painting looks fearless. Wonderful work!
