Vernazza, situated on the Mediterranean sea coast, full of the charm and ambience of a natural genuine Italian village which has been around since the 11th century. Its name derives from 'verna' the Latin word for 'native'. Oil on canvas, 28 x 33 cm February 2015 by George Budai

By George you sure know how to paint "icey cold sparkling water" in the foreground. I love it! Smiles to you ;-)
Nice George. I like the "lay" of the boats ...nicely designed there. I am not so sure about the drawing of that main boat ..as Richard would say ..It looks a little "Wonky". Your buildings in the background are a little too saturated .especially the red building in shadow ...needs to be much cooler and less "in your face". The second row of buildings: cool them a little and lighten the value as they go behind the first row of buildings ....right now, it looks like they are stacked. Remember, we must paint the illusion of space and the illusion of spacial planes.
Thanks Jessica. Have a nice day!
Wonderful!
Merci Cristina!
Dear Sharon, you are right but the only time I have for painting is in weekends. And also not every weekend....
Thanks for your comments. Happy painting!
Gorgeous!! Well done George!!
Very lovely George! I like the white boat with the ripples in the water, very well done. I like your description of the other 2 blue boats, too. Wish you had entered it sooner!
Thanks Laura for your comment. Yes I like shadows and I am always trying to create them couse I know thay are there only when the light is around. Light and shadows makes an interesting painting isn't true?
Very well done, George! I like these shadows you created on the painting.
