Michael and Laura Painting

Two terrific plein air painters hard at work. This is Michael Severin and Laura Xu painting on the beach at China Camp State Beach Park. I cheated and painted a 10 by 8 inch quickie so that I could catch them still painting. Nice early afternoon for the start of two days of the three of us painting together.

Thanks Maria; the spot is always nice and even nicer when the weather cooperates like this past weekend. You're right about it being a challenge to paint the two of them painting, especially since figures are not my strong point. But the photo is really pretty good, the shapes are interesting, and the best way to improve my painting has always been to go beyond my comfort zone. So, I might just accept your challenge.
