Yes, I checked. It is a very interesting word and has a meaning of notable artists. But I do not knwo how to use it. You got a price of lottery, Lucy Lady!!! You can check it again to make a sure. Li
Hi Li No this is just an exclamation word sort of like "oh my goodness" or "how will it go" !!!!! But if there is such a word meaning notable artists then maybe I am prophetic.????
Annie, I learned a word, yoiks, which means notable artists. is that what you mean?
Nancy Thank you for your encouragement I do prefer water colours and will probably make them my medium of choice but have been anxious to learn oils since my Mum passed and left me all her art gear. It is good to stretch oneself and try different things and it is a blessing to be using her oils and brushes. Thank you for taking the time to comment. Lets see how we go with the Grand Canyon yoiks!!!!
Thanks Dania I have a long way to go I know as per Richards Critique Thanks for the encouragement
Very nice w/c. You did a great job capturing the quality of items in this painting. Really like the organ in front of the bowl - looks juicy !
Annie, I did posted my homework. And this time I put a lot of paints on canvas as our teacher taught us. People like it.What an encouragement I got from our fellow artists here. I have to keep on learning as you said or I will disappointed those lovely people who care about me or maybe more correctly I should say care about art. Looking forward to the next challenge, landscape.Chinglish "Good good study, day day up". Good luck to you too. Li
Thanks so much Li I wondered if you were joining in this workshop Have you posted your painting yet? I will have a look when you do as I am sure it will be beautiful. Thanks for the kind comments about my watercolour. I still have much to learn especially about backgrounds.
