Glazed and glazed in oils.... Painted on paper for acrylics and oils Fabbriano 400g/cm2 . 25x35 cm.
Half of the painting is dry, and the other wet... the sun's reflection on the mountain is dry, looks kind of weird in the photo. I'll try to give it another shot.... I used my Alla prima photograph but following Michael's advice as NOT to make the horizon line in the middle, and adding more sky than water.

Thank you very much Michael for stoppng by! :D! I did use AC but I suppose I have added too much yellow....!!! I have remembered, (actually I have re read), your comments and suggestions from the previous painting which I had screwed up so much. (And it is still wet for giving it a final glazing...!)

Very well painted Silvana!!!   Very good composition, beautiful light, and good contrasts!  You have done a real nice job here!! .....On your next paintings of sunsets, to get the glow on the mountains from turning green, use Alizarin Crimson or Perm. Rose ..  instead of yellow or orange.

Hi Laura! I must admit I have glazed this many times. First with almost transparent colour, but it turned out being still quite greyish and didn't like it at all... so I added more colour and less medium.. kept on changing the clouds until the colours approx matched what I was looking for... Now that it's drier, I like the sun's reflection on the mt a bit more....

This is very nice Silvana! Did you glazed it by using transparent colours or opaque color too? I still have one value study that needs to be glazed but I am just so afraid to do that. What you did in this one?
