Yes Michael, He was quite famous marine painter, and made a lot of great seascapes. (Also he was inspiration to Earl Daniels..)

Nice Karlo.  I read somewhere that most of his seascape paintings were actually composites of many sketches and fabricated from his close observations of the sea.  The author pointed out that most of his seascapes could not have been painted on location, or he would have been killed ....doing what he did only comes from years of close observation and critical study to understand his subject ..the sea...... a good lesson for us all!!!
