This is stunning - I love the sunny path leading into the painting.  You certainly live in one of the most beautiful places in the world, from all the paintings I've seen on this site!

Thanks folks. I loved painting this one.

My daughter and I took a jet boat ride up into this beautiful, isolated part of New Zealand which is not accessible by road. The boat let us off at this spot and we tramped (hiked) from here to The Bridge to Nowhere. This is an area that returning soldiers were given to clear the land and farm after the First World War, but it was too isolated and the promised road access not upkept and they all eventually gave up the struggle and moved away leaving the land to revert to native bush once again.
