I really like this one but agree with others about pushing back the mountain on the right.

This is lovely Hazel. I like how you framed the picture with the shadows. I agree with the previous comments, the mountains could be pushed back by desaturating the colours a bit, all in all it's really great though.

Hazel, missed this because you were a little late getting it posted, but this is a really nice painting.  I agree that it is very painterly.  I do not agree with Diane on your colors being too intense in the background.  You have good depth in the painting and great color harmony.  Your mountains are fabulously realistic; are you sure you weren't there painting this au plein aire?  Good work.  Turn it in sooner next workshop to get more feedback.  Stu

m still looking at your beautiful painting and now just getting picky BUT when I squint I think your colours could be a little less intense as the receed into the picture to give greater atmospheric persective. Oh that is being real picky though as i really really think you have a winner here:)
