thanks Michael re your comments - I agree re repetition, but as this was a lesson and it was the way it was set up I just followed it, this is my experimental stage with high key colour and I'm really loving it.  I'll keep your comment on colour in mind - there is a happy medium.

 Glenys,  I agree, beautiful painting ... just be careful of repetition without variety. And be mindful of the dangers of being seduced by all that color.
