I wanted to change the rider, but I needed to get a sense of the size, anatomy, and how a person has a seat on a horse. These quick little studies helped. I liked the one on the right, even though the proportion of the leg was wrong. A kind of languor there. Oil on paper.

Swapping legs is the least of it, Jim. I have done that, kind of combining them. I hope that my painting skills might be less painful to you than your opponents tackling skills. :-) Today is painting day, so I'll keep you posted.
What if you took the leg off the guy on the left and put it on the guy on the right? (I think somebody did that to me once when I was playing football...)
