One more thing Jim. Take a look at Louis's painting" DSC000319. Do you see how the road, being wide at the foreground, and then getting narrow as it recedes ...makes the whole scene recede into space. Notice how it flattens the scene to a horizontal plane.
Jim, great concept and great color harmony. To take us INTO YOUR COMPOSITION and make us feel that we are there ..may I suggest that you WIDEN the road as it comes toward us. It would provide more depth and allow us to step into your painting ..feeling that we are standing on the path amidst the flowers. It would also keep the road/path and the rest of the scene, from STANDING UP ...like a wall. By the very nature of your scene, you do not have a whole lot of visual clues to address depth ..widening the road/path would greatly flatten out your scene and at the same time, provide the depth that is needed. :)) Happy Painting.
Love those colors! Smiles to you ;-)
