Thank you Mireille, that one I love, too. It is the only one in the past 6 months, that made it on the wall :-)

Thank you Nancy and Ningning!

And thank you Richard. Looks like as if slowly but continually some knots loosen up :-)

Thank you Ruby :-)

Stephen, most of us are almost always painting alone - and struggling alone ;-) It is an absolute pleasure to be here and share experiences with you and all the others. I am more on the slow and "too" detailed side and try to become little more painterly. Maybe you are quicker and more spontaneous in painting and want to slow down a bit. We are all different personalities and so we do see and paint as individuals. How great is that?!

Thanks for sharing that Silke, it helps to put my own efforts into perspective.

:-D So I created a split personality Ent! Two mouths and two persons - he can have wonderful conversation with himself :-)

Thank you Charles! Thank you, too, Stephen. Yes, it looks very fast in the video! I do not know, how much time you needed, but your painting looks really fine to me. Mine took about 14 hours I think. Cannot tell exactly, because I painted for about a week for about 2 hours in the evening.

I just wanted to try out the knifes and told myself to do as much as I could without the brushes. All those details were not planned in the beginning. I started out with big shapes... But then tried tapping and dipping and began laying those ripples in for the tree and liked the structures... And it was fun. Not the fastest method, but another exercise. It's all about exploring and enjoying the process.
