I would suggest taking the photo outside, not inside, have it vertical (otherwise it will reflect the sky and be cold/blue) and pay attention to where the light is coming from (where the sun is)

Hi Terra, Amy is right. Glare often is a problem. When photographing in my studio under artificial light, there is always a little bit of it. What I see, when I look at your picture in the higher resolution is, that it is not sharp and it has color noise. That means little spots of e.g. magenta and cyan visible in larger and calmer color sects, especially in the darks. Noise is often a result of insufficient light. And it lowers the brilliance of the original colors as it pollutes them. The weaker your camera is, the better your lighting has to be to get a good photo. So try to lighten up your room as much as you can and then let the painting face something dark, so that it does not reflect a bright surface. Lovely colors. It looks like you are getting a good bit of glare from light reflected off of the surface of your paint though. Maybe try photographing with only indirect light? I had to turn all of my studio lights out and use what remaining daylight I had coming through the window.
