interesting stu, I never thought to do that to get that effect. Going to keep that one in mind going forward. thanks
Nice Stuart.
Stuart, I like that stumbled orange too. So cute. Just kidding. I made so many mistakes in English. Nobody bother me. Next time please correct me .
Very nice. Really liking how the sunlit area in the background glows.
Thanks Li. Stu
Stuart, I enjoy this one. The composition, the value and color harmony are all very good. As you are tonist painter(Am I right?), I am not expect you use a lot of pure highly saturated colour. Like Pauline, I like your foreground design, very interesting and fine. Your little figures make me giggling.Although this is a cool tone painting, you successfully showed us a warm peaceful beach scene by that pale orange, ochre white spot of land at the midground contrast the whole cool colours around it. I found that your shadows are at the leftside of the objects. Therefore, if I were you, I would keep the tree at the left side of the background as it is, as the sun shining on its right side. As the midground and foreground grasses are all in the shadow, no sun light, so they are ok like they are now. Just a thought.
