Thank you Sharon, Lori shelly and Nancy for the nice comments.   I finally find time to come back to vote before the end of the workshop. This is a very successful workshop. So many nice paintings!  Happy Thanksgiving and happy painting every one!

Very nice painting.  The way you handled the light really pulls the eye far back into the painting and makes you wonder what's going on back there.  The foreground and middle grounds are handled really well helping that depth.  Overall great color, unity and mood.  Very well done!  Had to vote for it of course.

I like your lighting on the grasses and sky opening...sky is a little too much blue, add some orange somewhere to give it punch!  But that is just my opinion.  :)

The yellows against the blues work here so very well. Lovely!

I like it Xiao Li, a good idea to brake away with a different view.

Thanks, Xiao, this is a good idea to start from black and white to change the colors. I will try :)

Thank you Thomas, Ian, Cristina, Linda and Elena for your comments and suggestions.  It was a lot of fun painting this.  Elena, to make it easier to imaging any color other than the one in the reference photo, I used Richard's method to look at the black and white color image of the reference photo only.  This will free you from the color in the photo and put in any color in you mind to finish the painting.  This is the first time I have tried this way and I think I will use it more often.
