Oil on canvas, size 30x20cm.
I am afraid that I could not follow Richard with the street in Italy! I have been battling with this subject too many days so decided to send it, even though I know it is faulty, the women in front are too far down for instance and so on... I might go to it again later. Anyway I would love some criticism.

Thank you Lori, just as well as I am preparing to have some art courses next month, that is if I get enough students.

Thank you my dear Nancy, yes I am over it now.  When one lives alone sick or not, the best thing I find is to try to forget oneself by start creating, that is, if you can get out of bed!

Have a lovely day!

You had the flu and painted anyway?  You are amazing.  It makes me like your painting even more.  That would be the last thing I would do when sick.  I do hope you are feeling better.

Nancy thank you very much for your comments, I realize all the faults in it but I entered it all the same.  Maybe one should not paint when one has a flu!!  Anyway, it was a challenge.

I know what you mean about struggling with this assignment. I truly empathize. You really made Richard's photo your own....bravo! I like your colors and the warm light against the cool shadows. You also did a great job of painting the figures. Perhaps the two in front could be smaller. With their feet right at the bottom of the picture plain, the viewer's eye goes right out there. Overall, I really like your painting, Steininn.

I love the use of the shadows from your figures.  Nice touch.  Also like the cool versus the warm tones.

Don't despair. You've done a great job of making this your own! When it's looking dark outside, peek at your pretty painting.lits very cheery to look at!
