This is wonderful. I'm glad you did the study over. I can't believe you are just a beginner. The backlighting is great and I love the shading on the pitcher. Really well done.
Thank you Marta. As a brand new beginner, I think I'm going to like doing still lifes.. they are so satisfying! :)
I like the way the light is coming from the back and reflecting the light forward to get that reflection. The shadows on the vase are very nice. Good Job.
Thank you, Dor. I guess the millions of art books I've read for the last 20 years finally kicked in! :) Oh, and Richard's demos and Mastering Color course! :) Smiles to you too!
Rose I am thrilled for you. Sure didn't take you long either.........smiles to you dor:))
Thank you again. :) I am going to go with a limited palette next go round :) I need to learn color mixing.. it's sooo hard to know what colors to paint. You have great talent, I looked at your paintings/sketches.. wow! :)
I agree, oil is pretty challenging indeed! I'm glad you made the effort because the results look great.
Thank you, Timothy. This is the second painting I've ever done in oils, so I feel pretty awesome right now. I had no idea how challenging it would be but I am so glad I tried :) I appreciate your comments! Have a great evening! :)
I like how you've have used shadows to depict the dark side of the fruit and jug. The surface reflections are also great
