I am making a mess of things.  Tried to edit previous posting and wound up creating another.  Anyway, I think the problem is in the value relationship between tree and background grass.  Tree needs to go darker or the grass needs light, more neutralized.  something....is....not....right.

Any thoughts on how I can finish this piece?  I feel like there are some adjustments that need done.  The light is coming from high behind the tree to the left.  I think the background grass field could go maybe a touch lighter?  Maybe add one more rock to the stream slightly down and to the right of the left stone maybe?  I don't like the shadow transition on the right side of the tree but that is how it kind of appeared on scene.  Looks kind of strange painted though.  Any thoughts much appreciated.
