Thanks for your suggestion, Patricia.  You right, I should make it lighter in value as they are a bit further away.  I redid the painting and with your changes as well, I must maybe upload the painting as well as it changes a lot now with all the changes I've made.  I am learning from everybody here.  Thank you.

Love your painting Aurelia. 

Just one small suggestion.  The rock values on the right hand side are a bit top heavy.

They should look similar to the lovely organic rock colouring on the bottom left hand side, but lighter in value.  At the moment the values and colour, on the right hand side is a bit stark and geometric.

I also love your the perspective and also the addition of the complementary green.  Well done!!

Thanks Rita.  I changed this painting as Stephen suggests and it looks better now.  Yes, this is a great website and I hope to do the next workshop again.  We learn so much by doing the workshops.  You must upload your painting.  Maybe you are the only one that thinks it’s bad.  We are usually our worst critiques.  When you upload your work, others can help you, but not seeing anything, nobody can help you.

Beautiful painting, Aurelia. I like the colours and your perspective is great. Well done!!  And I like the left rocks, they looking great, I'm still busy with mine and I can't seem to get it right. Half of the painting looks good, the other half is just terrible :))

Don't you think it's great how everybody helpes eachother? I'm glad that I joined this website, and the workshop, my first.

Hey Aurelia This is just great well done I agree with Stephen re the foreground shadow Wasnt that clever photoshopping it for you. Good job

Thanks Stephen for your comments and helping me with the colours.  I was just randomly put in colours and thought it is going to give some unity in the painting, but I like your suggestion.  It does look much better and I am going to change my painting accordingly.  Thank you.

This is my first workshop and I've learned quite a lot and hoping to do many more.
