Trevor, I am looking forward to the St. Patrick's Day party at my neighbor's house.  He is Irish with an Asian wife and is an accountant, poet and writer/illustrator of children's books.  My wife has Scotch/Irish and Italian ancestry.  The U.S. is a huge melting pot and of course all my ancestors immigrated here to the New World (not really too new anymore).  Li has also immigrated from her home in China to the New World and has embraced the culture of her adopted country very impressively in her art.  Isn't the Internet an amazing tool to bring people closer to one another?  Good luck again to Li.  Stu

Lovely to see what Li is doing, what an extraordinary girl!
Like you ,my ancestors are Scots/Irish, and my wife's French Huguenot, who thought it best to leave France .
I think this makes us Irish Stu
Very Tastey.

Stuart, Thank you so much. I need your encouragement as this will be the first public show for sale. I will show them that Peruvians in costume one. And I promise you that I won't touch alcohol. I appreciate your kindness indeed.

Li, congratulations and good luck in your art shoe; I am sure they will love your paintings as much as all of us do. Don't drink too much Guiness! I hope you are showing those fabulous paintings of Peruvians in costume that you do so well. Stu

Sorry to disturb you. Today, We are going to an Irish event, St. Patrick's Event . Everybody has to be in green. I am going to have my personal painting exhibit there. This is my first show to Irish people. It will be outside of a hotel on  beach. It must be very wet. If I am lucky and sell some paintings, 50% earnings will go to a home for poor children with disabilities. Please wish me a good luck, boys.

Trevor, the only dry thing for most Irish is their sense of humor. My grandmother was from Northern Ireland and married a Scot from Glasgow; my grandparents and my Dad had that dry sense of humor and passed it on to four of us. Stu

Great to have you as a friend Stu.Thats a good idea about a sail, had'nt thought of it. Rises the question should it be a ton of dry or a ton of wet? Wets easy, but don't know where to find DRY Irish anything. Looking forward to seeing your painting, and hope to join in some workshops soon to learn how to use brushes and mix colours. Being lazy I've kept to pastels.

Absolutely Trevor. I am about ready to paint my boat for the competition this month. I will try and make it look seaworthy and capable of transporting a ton of sand. Stu

Thanks for your kind comments Stuart. I feel that you are being too modest and that this is a clever and perhaps secrete trick to get people exercising.
As for the sand you will have to wait until I row that ton over.
Until then I would like you to agree to be my friend. What do you think?
All the best for now.
Trevor.

Thanks Trevor.  I would like to tell you that this was a deliberate clever trick to catch a critic missing something, but it was actually a stupid mistake that I did not notice until well after the photo was posted; of course Richard noticed it.  I got so hung up in the shadow patterns on the board and sand that I didn't pick up on it.  Does my sand look like your sand?  Michael told me you are going to ship him a box of sand so he knows what it looks like.  I think your portraits are terrific and wish I had the powers of observation to paint a face as well as you do.  I guess I just need to work at it more.   Stu
