Xiao Li so pleased for you You deserve it.
Congratulations on your prize !
wow
Lovely
Xiao Li, if I were you I would enlarge the area of the spotlight effect too, including the three smaller rocks on the right side in the affected area of the glowing. Please compare Albert one, how big that affected area is. And how it influnce the middle part of the painting. And at the same time , as Patricia mentioned darken the right side more. You did a wonderful job. be careful not over done. Good luck, Xiao Li.
Thank you very much Patricia. Very interesting grayscale comparison and very smart way to see the true value. It is puzzling to me that why the value of my brightest spot is still darker than the one in Albert Bierstadt's painting even through I used almost pure white there, which is value 1, the lightest value . May be it is just a photographic problem. The shadows of the three smaller rocks on the right side are darker then it should be by comparison. By lightening those up a little and darken the big rock on the very right site might do the trick. I will play with it and thank you Patricia for the great suggestions.
