Hi Stuart, thank you very much for your encouraging suggestions. You are right i have not warmed up that foreground have i. I think i've been a little to eager to get back to it! i will address your comments, thank you for your critique its very much appreciated :-)))
Pauline, this is a very nice composition, but you need to push some color in the foreground to fulfill Richard's lesson. Tone down some of your darks in the distance a little so that it recedes and really warm up and push your golden yellows in the foreground. Look at Richard's examples. This will take your eye back into the painting along your path. Leave the path fairly light compared to the grasses and it will guide you back along it. Look at Michael Severin's painting of the Melones Trail and what he has done with his foreground color. This is a nice view and a small amount of work will make it pop. Stu
