This boat should be out in the  ocean heading toward shore... and I imagine the large red megaphone re-sounding "Jesus is coming! Jesus is coming!"  to warn the people.  Also, notice the red cross on the top and the red trim symbolizes the blood that He shed for our sins!  It is the boat trudging through the dark waters of this world, but it s tied up because Chrisitanity seems to be a thing of the past, but it is really  thing of the future!
