Pauline, it is so kind of you take time to write all these. I am a very emotional person,so when I paint him I suffered a lot as I know him well, I even cried. That is why I could not paint a happy him. I will avoid to paint someone I know and like but passed away. Pauline, you know what I mean as you experienced the same thing.
This painting is beautiful Ningning, what a truly wonderful gift to give someone who has lost such a magnificent companion, it will be treasured I'm sure. I have just given a dog portrait to someone for xmas, the dog passed away two years ago, she feels that she has come back into her life through the painting. Isn't it magical that we can do this for our friends, Happy New Year to you Ningning :-}
Maria, Many thanks. Next time I have to check well the photo I use to paint. It can make my mind much clear and the job much easier.
Ningning you must be pretty proud of this painting. Love his eyes. Look so real. Beautiful.
Cristina and Silvana, thank you so much for your encouragements. I really need them. I learned my lesson.
Ningning, don't despair. It's a beautiful painting!
Excellent!! Beautiful work!!
I changed his nose. But the good looking bright sparkling on the tip of his nose was also gone. Tried to put them on, failed. He died. No similar dog arround me as a reference , the photo did not help. I gave it up.
