Thank you, Annie.
It is indeed but every challenge maks you grow as a person. Hope your celebration is wonderful
We are nice girl and easy going and compromize everything put on us. Then we have to suffer the consequences. That is life.
PS I ate both of them once I had finished Yum!!!!
I had only a shorttime to paint and my husband had taken the lap top so I had to make up my own box and light. Ended up painting in the kitchen ha ha with the light behind me from a window and then the pear being in a little alcove with a painting pad over the top microwave on one side and the light turned on on top right hand overlooking pear. It was a bit micky mouse but I had to hope the light was correct. So thats why the shadows werent so strong.
Thank you so much for your Chinese New Year wishes to me! Let us go back to our work,You are smart as you use the same pear to paint. I changed them and it took my time. I learned. Do you have 2 source of light? I notice that 4 of them have two shadows. As I am not advanced painter, I preffer only use 1 light and to get one shadow. and put the shadows longer. Maybe your light is too near the pear so you can not get that dramatic longe shadow. I like your No.1 and 4 colour combination , the contrast makes the pear stand out. No.2 and 3 backgrounds and pear shared the same group of colour and value also similar therefore they are not very clearly stand out.Especially No.2, If you convert this photo into black and white ,you can see the value difference better. I like your No.2,3,4 pears and texture.
