Thank you, Charles. I will do at least another try in terms of colour study.
This is a great photo. Can do a lot with this scene. Will look for your paintings.
Thank you, Silvana.
Love the theme!! Looking forward to seeing your painting Ningning!!!
Thank you, Michael. I think that I understand what you mean. I will try .
I personally like the simplicity of possibility No. 1 .... the little boat coming into the harbor. The other one .. possibility 2, requires some additional editing ... like taking out the bow of the right hand boat and the boat up by the head of the figure. No. 2 .. with the figure .. kind of tells a story and the boat with the netting in it is a nice counter movement to the boat coming in. The guy pointing leads your eye to the back of the small boat with the nets and then up to the boat in the middle ground. So PAINT THEM BOTH!! .. They both tell a different story. A tip: Don't try to be so accurate with the boats in the distant mist .... just make them SHAPES .. NOT BOATS. ..then you can be more accurate with the focal point boat.
Michael, Thank you for your suggestions. I can tell 2 different approach. The 2nd one concentrate on the center of interest while the 1st one has stronger value contrast. I will think about them. Many thanks,
Michael. If you have to choose, which one will be your favourite?
