Acrylics 24x22 cm. Critiques welcome. Not as yellow as I wanted it to be... I think I have overloaded the cube with the second color and the first one almost disappeared. If I find the time I'll try again.

Very nice Silvana.  Your values are right on.  Since this was a yellow block, I presume?, you are correct in your statement ..very good that you were able to analyze it.  I have noticed that no one has painted any highlights on their cubes? ....

I can see in your b&w that the broken colour in the reflection (bottom right) is perfect! :-)

Hi Silvana, I am glad you did it! I like the cube and the background! Some part of the table top is little spotty may be? I learnt it from Michael's comments to my cube. I copy his words to here: "When you paint your broken color ..squint ...if the color does not meld into the base color, it is probably to dark or too light.".

Interesting to see the way it looks in B&W... What I thought it as lighter on the shaded part of the cube, is not really the lighter part... my eyes work strangely.... perhaps it's time to re- visit my optician! I've got astigmatism... and I know that I see the intensity of the vertical, diagonal and horizontal black lines in different shades of grey. I wonder what the rest of you see?
