Elderly Druze lady preparing bread (probably large pitot) which she will bake on the large oven beside her. At a makeshift table set up along the roadside in the shade of the trees, alongside a stand selling honey, olive oil and other typical foods. The scene is in the Carmel mountains.

Thank you for your comment Ningning!  I started with a toned canvas (yellow ochre) to see how it went.  Actually though, it looks quite different after I worked on it later as I wanted to get more light in it, but I haven't reposted.

Thank you for your comments Michael! Always encouraging!  I've since done some more work on it, because I thought the background was too dark & I didn't really like the trees, so I've changed it quite a bit (not sure if for the better or not!!)

Hi Silvana - it's water soluble oils on canvas (10" x 10").  It was a bit difficult to figure out how to spotlight the lady, as she was in the shade and the light was on the trees behind her.  In fact, there were a number of mismatched chairs & tables & even an old couch in the background, making it way too busy!

How representative Jessica! Is it oils? Which size is it?
