Original oil painting by Jeri McDonald. 14x11 oil primed hardboard/canvas using Gamblin oil ground. This painting is actually made up from my own imagination based on a couple of previous studies I posted here earlier and one last year. I am trying to capture how light works at night in the winter with snow and create a glowy mood. Getting that to happen with all the blue and violet is very difficult. The real painting is actually a bit more violet and the greens more gray but even with photoshop it is still tough to get it exactly like the original painting and I am an expert in photoshop since using it in my professional career.

Beautiful Jeri!  I think your colors are wonderful and "glowy"!

Thanks everyone for the nice compliments. I like this one too. It's fun watching myself progress. I try not to be too hard on myself as I know time and commitment to practice will yield the results I am working toward.
