Thank you Jon & Mario!  Jon, thanks for the suggestions - will check that!  This is in Cassis, though I did take a few liberties with the canopies & shutters & moved them around a bit to suit the composition better!

Lovely scene, Jessica - where is it? It's interesting that you get a good light effect even though your shadows aren't darker. Maybe you could work a bit more on where the boats 'join' the water and the roofs?
