Glenys, I really appreciate your encouragement!  This was painted as a gift for a friend, so I'm specially glad to have these positive remarks!  With artistic license, I didn't paint in some of the buildings that are there in "real life" in the distance, as I didn't feel they contributed much in the way of beauty, but the scene is very much like this apart from that.

Very, very good Jessica!! .....  depth, edges, values, color , gradation .. all good!   Just one thing on value ... don't forget that water is almost always a little darker in value then the sky.  Really love your handling of the background planes in this painting!!  Excellent painting. :)
