Family Portraits Painting Road Trip - November 2010

This is my aunt Zefe. 11"x14" Burnt Sienna and Ultramarine.

I took Richards advice and used Burnt Sienna and Ultramarine Blue for this study. I believe this is considered "duotone" vs "monochrome". Still strongly value based.

This one is of my cousin Alberto from Bakersfield. I'm currently on a road trip up to Northern California and back. I'll be painting family members, doing plein air landscapes, and visiting old friends while checking out the art gallery scenes.

I'll post more as I make them.
