After painting in oils for the past month, nice to get back to my pastels.  I think the lessons here in oils are helping my pastels.  I did an oil wash on sanded paper then applied pastel over the top of that.  What fun!

I let the underpainting show through in certain parts.  I try to use the drips, drops and runs and incorporate them into the overall painting.  The underpainting is consists of warm colors.

How BEAUTIFUL!  Did you apply pastel over all of the painting?  or onlly parts?  I've not tried pastels yet.  I'm still trying to get comfortable with acrylics
