For all that white underground in oils and acrylics, for me I have a nice working solution. I ground with a mixture of gesso tinted with yellow ocre and a little bit of middle read. This gives you a warm underground instead of the the very cold white.

I would certainly choose acrylics unless you get a medium a lot of artists use, which is for making oils to dry faster. I think Water mixable oils also dry faster than the traditional ones... I have the traditional ones and they take quite long to dry, but,... they are easier to correct!

I love what you do with the caravan! It was and still is one of my dreams! Perhaps you should have small board so you camn make small paintings! I am saying this because it is sth I should learn... if I don't have at least 5 hours, I don't start a new painting....!!!!!

Certainly Richard's workshop will guide you. He is an excellent teacher and so are amany artists around here!!!
