oil on canvas, 18" by 24". This is the every Sunday farmers' market at the Marin Civic Center. The colorful orange shapes caught my eye along with the man in the foreground tasting the produce.

Stuart, your comment make me smile. Especially the last sentences. So cute. You let me see the picture of my husband and I when we were in the martkets.
I mean red-orange, not red. How would it have looked with a warm ground (like dirt) instead of the cement, I wonder...
Dor, thanks and Sharon, these were pretty much the colors that were there and caught my eye. I took about 49 to 50 photos that day and this one caught my eye mainly because of the orange awnings and colorful outfits. The woman with the red blouse and white pants and hat on the left is my wife. I struggled a little on getting the figures right and grouping them properly to create interest, but most of the information was there in the photo that I took. I never refuse to go to a farmer's market with my wife; she shops for food and I take pictures with my camera to create eye candy. Stu
Yes, very nice and realistic. I especially like the old man's purple shirt how it just stands out amongst the reds. Are these the colors that were there or did you change them? (umbrellas and shirts) I am guessing you changed them because that is what we do! To suit our artistic needs and get a good color comp - if you didn't, you were lucky!

Thanks, Li. Stu
Stuart, You see so many people like your work. So happy for you!
Thanks, Sharon--this was a couple of years ago and I still have some pretty good photo references from the same day to paint. Stu
GREAT!!
Thanks Sharon; if you really want to, you will. There is no magic to this. Just keep painting and learning from others. Stu
