Newbie here...

Hi, I joined today and am just making my way around the site. I was interested in getting involved with the challenge/workshops.

I've been an artist since I was a kid, and have worked in commercial ad design and illustration for many years.

Now I'm trying to go back to my roots and start painting again. I haven't touched oil paints for about 25 years. I've done a lot of digital painting, along with miniature (1"=1') scale carvings. I'll post a couple of those on my page if anyone's interested. I got my start in small carving while I lived in Alaska for 25 years and worked as an ivory jewelry carver...walrus teeth are still legal, and many of the pieces I have are in the hundreds of years old, found on beaches out there.

I've worked also in watercolor, ink, pastels and airbrush, doing portraits, scenery, and animals, as well as some commercial work.

BTW, is this site just for oil painters, or are there other mediums? Just wondering...;-D
