Hallo everyone.

I am from Curacao and I really love my place. Every Friday morning we go out with a small group to paint outdoors. There are a few back drops on painting in the tropics however: Being located so close to the equator, the shadows are short unless you paint early in the morning or late in the afternoon. And, second, it can be really hot if you can't find a seat in the shadow. But I can not and shall not complain, because the wether is good almost 365 days a year.

Every two years we have a plein air festival in Curacao with participants from Curacao and many from abroad.

I am new to this side and about to begin with a painting of a rock (which is the topic of this month's work shop). Very difficult assignment, I think.

with tropical greetz,

Arthur
