Dramatic! Nice one. I like that verticality in the sky and reflection. Wonder how it would look threaded throughout the painting.
Too Straight??? ... I dunno Jess, looks good to me. This might be the just the photo, but the crashing wave is supposed to be your lightest light .. all other lights should be a little darker .. but that foam from the cave seems to be the same value? .. like I said, it could be just over exposed in the photo . that is what happens to my whites all the time!!! But, take a look at your painting, if that foam is as light as your lightest light (the crashing wave), then drop it a half step in value.

Jess, beautiful painting! Very nice control of your edges, values, and color. Beautiful warm and cool grays and just the right amount of strong color where needed! There is a very good sense of movement of the waves and foam patterns! Wonderful variety of shapes.
