Oil on canvas 12x16". This little exercise kept me very busy. I’ve scraped twice my “energetic brush strokes”. In the end, I use the painting knife to apply them. It could do with more scraping but I felt for poor canvas so, I’ve decided the leave it as it is. My friends, feel free to analyse it and comment.

The foliage in the foreground is wonderful. The variety of textures is impressive.
It'sl lovely and I can identify with what you are saying. I had done one, not happy and then did another one. I tend to get fussy!
