My issue with the canvas board is not to just keep it (when it is not all that good), but rather I have a record on the computer of what it looked like......I am concerned about the weight in the RV Motorhome while we are driving down the road. It cost gas for every pound you haul.......and trust me..........I have way too much art supplies as it is! yikes
Yes Michael gave some good thoughts. i.e. background value and sand bar values same. sigh lol Guess I need to just throw that left over paint away and try for some serious control for color, temp, value! Considering just scraping this one down if still wet enough to do so......good learning though on what I did learn.
Thanks for the comment Jon on Rees Vallery after RR. The dull colors is because they have been mixed with everything in the world bc I am using all my left over paint. Agree the rt mtn is dark......I tried to lighten it - honest - even scraped it off and re-did it. The paint is very thick so expect I can scrape it off again! ///Love your sailing paintings. We had a Catalina 25 sailboat for 19 years. We raced, camped out, took week vacations on it and enjoyed it a lot. But now it is gone. lol You know, the 2 happy days of boat ownership? Day you buy it, day you sell it! smile
I did save Michael's comments to the folder I had all the photos in for that paintings. Agree we are very fortunate that Michael will take his (professional) artist busy, limited time out to help us. PS Have you noticed the best of artist share, and those who only think they are good try to hide their "they think" secretes? Sometimes I think that. I appreciate any and everyone who try to help others. Very nice people.
Thanks Jon for the comment on my Hand drawing. I still have not gotten up the nerve to do a body cast (you know with the legs removed and all). I just know it will take a very, very long time. Your gallery is wonderful!
Well, thanks Jon for your comment on the water's color. I had fun with it...although it went through lots of renditions. I am pleased with the FINAL product...as it will be returning to it's resting place in my daughter's home. (I had to bring it back home for the re-do) I promised her I wouldn't remove it again.[ha!] Have a wonderful holiday season and blessings to you and your family for a wonderful new year.
