oil on canvas 16 x 20 inches
We had a very pretty girl as our model last week. After the alive painting section, I didn't think my alive painting reflect her beauty. Not even a bit, so I went on to paint a larger portrait of her using the photo I took there and the alive painting I did before. This way I can have enough time to focus on the details and really "paint" her. Here is the result. Critiques are always welcome.

Thank you Ningning. Welcome back!
Beautiful!!!
Thank you very much Linda for the comment.
Thank you so much Ana, Silvana and Jessica for your nice comments. Yes, Ana, the hat was put on the way that it won't block the light on her face so that the face features can be seen clearly. It looks like it is a little up there, not really down like it should be. I am working on to be more "professional", but thank you very much Ana for the encouraging comment!
Beautiful brushwork & colour, especially on the hat & clothes!
Wow Xiao! You have improved so much in portraits!!!!
Yes, you are right and also, I can see the source of light was place in the way that enhanced face features. You did a good job on it I am not afraid to say that it looks very professional.
PS. In my first post I meant brush instead of rush. Cheers!
Thank you Ana for the comment. When you have a good model, it makes the painting much easier. I enjoyed painting her very much.
I like the light on her face and the rush work on the blouse.
