This is my happy place. Still working on it. I like simplicity.

Thank you Craig!  I finally finished it and will post how it changed :)

Hi Barb you have a beautiful sky happening there

Thanks for the suggestions :) I will re-post soon. I brought the horizon up a little higher and will focus on the clouds just above the water line and add reflections in the water. I softened the intensity of the horizon.
I appreciate the help. I am trying to paint everyday if I can. I also work full time and look forward to the day when I can paint as much as I want.

Gorgeous sky! I agree with Michael. You should rise the value of the sea water on the skyline.

elegantly simple.  leaves the viewer to create their own story.

Yep, I agree the horizon needs softening.

I was sort of reflecting that the dilemma is that simplicity is pretty much the ultimate goal - it's powerful! but it can result in various problems - so simplicity isn't easy!

Thanks for your comments :) I might also bring the horizon up a smidge.

Beautiful sky Barb, I'd soften the skyline and vote for a sailboat!

Hi Barb. any one of those suggestions will work nicely ... especially the softening of the horizon line. Like you said ... whatever you decide, keep it simple.

I need to soften the skyline.  Maybe add a few gulls or a sailboat?  Instead of those two things, maybe just add reflections from clouds in water?   Any suggestions?
