Thanks Nancy!  This is the larger version.  The Mastering Sunsets site is a FB group of people who are taking or have taken Richard's "Mastering Sunsets" teaching video series from about a year and a half ago.   I'm sure that you have the course and did the paintings, but if you didn't it's a really good course.  I will friend you on FB and invite you to the site.  I need to post these Sunsets for this workshop there as well plus my reference photo.  My Paso trip was a nice mini vacation and the drive home was very relaxing.

What is the "mastering Sunsets" FB site?
I did have a great time. He truly is an amazing and talented teacher/artist. Glad you and you two had a leisurely and relaxing drive up my favorite highway. It was lovely meeting you both.

Thanks Nancy!!  I am going to post my photo reference on the "Mastering Sunsets" FB site that Richard started!  I trust you had a great workshop with Richard.   So nice meeting you and your sister-in-law at the workshop.   We drove all the way up highway 1 to SF; very relaxing!!

Just beautiful, Stu. I am tempted to attempt one of these. You caught the drama of sunset.

Thank you Silvana!!  I was looking through some of my photos after I painted my painting from Richard's second reference photo and found the photo I used as a reference.   I must have done something with the exposure because usually when the sun is at that angle it just blows out all the color and value in the photo with the scattered light from the lens elements in the camera.
