oil on canvas panel, 8" by 10", plein air. This is my only plein air painting since the Plein Air Convention in Monterey #PACE15 the week before last. I did it for relaxation 3 days ago before a lot of hard work getting ready for open studios!

The use of abstract shapes is impressive. Sometimes it all just comes together with this Happy Ending !

The comments are spot on - very perspicacious - and yes - it's a great design but also has an 'atmosphere'!

Thank you Michael! And thank you Manneherrin! It was a nice morning and this one almost painted itself. I am still using my Frank Serrano palette, Michael, I and haven't modified it a bit! It really works for everything that I paint and I like to paint just about anything that I can see!!!

Good work Stu.  I like your value range ..and good notan also!!

Comment by Manneherrin on April 30, 2015 at 1:35

I see your reds in there with the greens. That was a brilliant touch. There is a strong notan here. I like the peer, it give scale to the cliffs. Well done!
