Oil on canvas panel 11" by 14" plein air. Beautiful day at a park in Santa Rosa yesterday. First time painting with North Bay Plein Air Artists; a number of friends were there. I got quite a bit more color in this one. Loved the little boats for rent and the bent tree. I found a big redwood tree to paint under, so I didn't have to get out my umbrella.

The colour is great. You are really at home with the new palette
Lovely painting, Stu - very warm & inviting.
The color adds another dimension to your work ! Looking Good
Great Stu, a lot more color and contrasts!!! ....I very much like your handling of the trees against the sky ..good work.
Thanks Silvana, but I am not sure it is the palette. I am just putting in a lot more color. Only the yellows are saturated, the blue and red families are not. I also really pumped up the lights on the sand and sparkles in the water. Those yellow boats really catch the eye. Stu
I like this palette! this painting is shinier!
