This stunning view greets you as you enter Taos on the road from Santa Fe. The storm in the distance was too dramatic to overlook so this is my attempt to capture the feel of that day.

Thanks Julie, Dirk and Saghi for looking and commenting.  The gorge indeed goes way down and extends for miles. I am not sure if it was created by an earthquake or just over time as the plates shift.

Thank you so much ,Timothy.  The colours here tend to be intense, we are at 7000ft altitude and do not get a whole lot of rain so any sign of it coming is quite exciting!
