Oil on linen, 7 x 9 inches
I was in the mood for some juicy colors to day, and I love the transparency of the orange. I was experimenting, or should I say studying the edges quite closely and playing a little with the texture. The underside of the slice was surprisingly hard to paint in terms of color and drawing. I´m still not sure if I got it right, but I think its close enough.

Yummy yummy ! Love those saturated colors ! This is a little jewel
Really wonderful painting...
Wow! Really nice! You have such a great eye for the details that matter.
This is a beautifully luminus orange! Beautiful colors and love the edges you've created also!
Thank you Lori and Pandalana
Pandalana, I would recomend you consider painting the orange slice from life. The colors are always going to be more vibrant and juicy that way :)
Yep! you got it right! It looks beautiful! I just took some photos of orange slices yesterday to paint. You have motivated me to try it, I think getting the "glow" is going to be the hardest.
Thanks guys. There is something super nice about doing a high saturated painting like this one. I made use of all my cadmium colors (red, orange, deep yellow, pale yellow, lemon yellow).
Amazing!
The drawing is great Andri. The color and luminosity is just spectacular!! You have a nice variety of edges. This is worth a lot of study for anyone wanting to learn about edges!!! ...me for one!! :) ..great painting Andri.
