oil on Belgian canvas 13 x 15ins.
it's good to get a brush back in my hands, felt a little rusty but looking forward to getting more practice in.

Your style really shines in this one! Beautiful!

My critique would be that towards the boat, the reflections and the end of the rock wall seem to be heading upwards, rather than lying flat, and also that the sail reflection is a tad big.
If I were to divide this painting into vertical thirds, I would say that the left third is just beautiful - dreamy and inviting. I love how you made simple steps down to the water. I didn't manage that well in my painting, whereas yours are clean and bright.

Wonderful painting Glenys, I also love the way you have diffused the light, and I love the rear reflections in the water, you make them look so perfectly glassy, Fabulous!

A winner.  Lovely painting.  Wonderful use of lights, darks and bits of color candy to move the eye around the painting.

Excellent! I can identify your work from a mile away .. you have such a distinctive and beautiful style. I like how you infused the light on the sail .. gives the painting a less claustrophobic look. I always admire your use of lost and found edges .. you deploy that with such great skill. The reflection of the white sail .. I don't know Glenys ... You might want to revisit that ... might be a little too much there???

Hi Glenys, it's lovely to see your painting. I really like the hazy effect with the vibrant brushstrokes and the colours you have used in the water. Your golden sail is great!
